CIRPS is a research and education center focused on sustainable development.
CIRPS (Centro Interuniversitario di Ricerca Per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile) is a research center that brings together experts in the fields of sustainable development and sustainability science. It was established in 1988 through a collaboration between Rome’s “La Sapienza” University and two other universities.
The center aims to develop scientific solutions that promote environmental protection and social justice. Through research, education, and fieldwork, it operates in alignment with the principles of the circular economy and the Millennium Development Goals. CIRPS has carried out more than 50 research projects in a variety of areas, including energy, environment, sustainable agriculture, and social sciences.
Additionally, CIRPS offers master’s and doctoral programs in sustainable development, forging international collaborations that have a global impact.
